eyed3 software package provides Display and manipulate id3-tags on the command-line, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install eyed3
eyed3 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the eyed3 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep eyed3 *
You will get with eyed3 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
